If you’ve played the original Gonzo’s Quest before, then there will only be a slight difference with this release, as it comes with six reels rather than five. Yet, even if you’re new to it all, it’s easy to get to grips with the slot. The spin button is in the bottom-right corner, while the Stake box allows for you to choose a wager of between €0.20 and €4 per spin. An autoplay button is also present, and you can display the paytable with the ‘PAYS’ button at the bottom.

One great part about the original slot release has continued on into the Megaways™ version too, and that’s the avalanche wins. And how does this particular feature benefit you?

Well, when wins form on the six reels, the symbols included in such will explode and disappear from sight. New symbols can then fall into their spaces and potentially form additional wins. That process repeats itself until no further wins can be created. With each new avalanche, the win multiplier also increases up to a maximum of 5x.

Wild symbols also appear during the base game, represented by the question mark icon. These substitute for all other symbols within Gonzo’s Quest Megaways™. Up to two of these can land on the reels in the same spin – one for the first three reels and one for the second three reels.

Free falls is something that Gonzo’s Quest is known for too, and this round is triggered by the appearance of three or more free fall symbols. These are represented by the gold circular symbol. The free falls round can also be activated by two free falls symbols and a single wild showing up. You’ll be granted nine free falls in either circumstance, and any additional free fall symbols in view will award you with an extra three free spins on top.

During the game’s free falls round, the avalanche multipliers remain operational, but will be of an increased amount. This means that you can bring a multiplier of up to 15x into play, applying itself to all of your wins in the process.

There’s also the addition of an earthquake function as well. This can trigger completely at random, and if it does, then all low-paying symbols will be destroyed in the process. Therefore, only the higher paying symbols will be visible on the six reels. At the same time, the spaces previously inhabited by the low paying symbols will be filled by higher paying inclusions once the earthquake hits.
